Thierry Poincelin – Expert in Actuarial Science, Associate Member of the French Institut of Actuaries and Member of “Actuaries Without Borders”.
Mr. Poincelin has held several responsibilities throughout his career: Project Manager with the President of the Institute of Actuaries until 2013, head of the “Actuarial and Statistical” service at AGIRC (Federation of pension institutions of the executives), then expert actuary in the Technical Department of GIE AGIRC-ARRCO.
Mr. Poincelin started his career at the Drouot Group where he was in charge of the creation of life products and the establishment of technical provisions. He joined the AGF where he was the head of the Actuarial Department handling the creation of life and capitalization products. He was appointed to the Accounting Department and then to the Strategy and Management Control Department to validate the life and non-life technical reserves on the AGF balance sheet (now Allianz France).
Mr. Poincelin was the Chairman of the Accreditation Committee of actuaries authorized to certify the life tables and the laws of maintenance in disability and incapacity of work between 1995 and 2012. He has also been a representative of the Institute of Actuaries on the Insurance Committee of the European Actuarial Consultative Group and the International Actuarial Association on the “Social Security” and "Accreditation" Committees of the “Africa” Subcommittee as well as a member of " Mortalie Working Group ". He has also been an observer of the International Actuarial Association at the OECD.
Mr. Poincelin holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the CNAM (DESE), he is a graduate member of the French Actuaries Institut.
