Mr. Simon Brimblecombe is an actuary and economist with over 25 years of experience in consulting, analysis and project management in the private, public and international organisation sectors.
He is currently responsible for actuarial, investment and research activities at the International Social Security Association (part of the International Labour Organisation) in Geneva. He has worked on projects on social security reform in over 20 countries including Egypt, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Poland, Russia and Oman. At ISSA, he manages projects looking at adequacy of social security benefits, the impact of future trends on social security provision and the analysis of system reforms and financing.
Prior to taking up his position at the ISSA, Simon worked for a range of consultancies in Switzerland and the UK including Mercer, AonHewitt, Callund Consulting and KPMG as well as creating and running his own consulting and training company.
Mr. Brimblecombe holds a Master’s Degree in Latin American Economics, London University and a Bachelor Degree in Economics, University of Durham, UK.
