Présentation du 5ème Congrès Actuariel Africain

L’Association Actuarielle Internationale en collaboration avec l’Association Marocaine des Actuaires organisent le 5ème Congrès Actuariel Africain qui se tiendra à Casablanca du 15 au 16 mars 2018 à l’hôtel Sofitel Tour Blanche.

Cet événement fait suite au congrès international organisé en novembre 2016 à Cape Town en Afrique du Sud, qui a rassemblé plus de 160 participants issus d’une quinzaine de pays africains et d’autres régions du monde.

Rendez-vous récurrent de la profession actuarielle, ce congrès a pour vocation de mettre en perspective, à travers la profession actuarielle, la dynamique des secteurs de la banque et de l’assurance, en constante évolution en Afrique.

Mr. Carlos Arocha is Secretary of the Leadership & Development Council of the Society of Actuaries and Ambassador of the Society of Actuaries in Switzerland. He is Maning Director of Arocha & Associates, a consulting firm based in Zurich.

Mr. Bachir Baddou is the CEO of the Transport Insurance Company and the General Manager of the Moroccan Federation of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies.

Mr. Simon Brimblecombe is responsible for actuarial, investment and research activities at the International Social Security Association (part of the international Labour Organisation) in Geneva.

Mr. Stuart Wason is President of Stuart Wason Consulting. He has more than 40 years of actuarial insurer, consulting and supervisory management experience.

Mr. Youssef Fassi Fahri is the CEO of Société Centrale de Réassurance. He spent more than 20 years in various industrial actvities and his professional career was particulary marked by his success in supporting companies in their restructuring efforts.

Mrs. Renata De Leers is the Managing Director of ACB Consulting, based in Togo and Ghana and an expert in insurance and social security.

Mr. Thierry Poincelin is an expert in Actuarial Science, Associate Member of the French Institut of Actuaries and member of ''Actuaries Without Borders''.

M. KARIM HAJJI

M. KARIM HAJJI

Karim HAJJI is the CEO of the Casablanca Stock Exchange and is a member of the World Federation of Exchanges. In 2011, he joined the HOPE Global Board of Advisors and was appointed Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Association of African French speaking Exchanges. He holds an MBA from New York University’s Stern School, a diploma from “Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris”

Pr. Issouf Soumaré is the Director of International Relations of the Faculty of Business Administration and the Director of the laboratory for financial engineering at Laval University, Canada.

Jules Gribble is a qualified actuary. He is currently a Senior Policy Advisor with the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) which he joined in July 2013.
